Singer · Songwriter · Guitarist · Musical Director
Three decades of songs and guitar — a recording artist on Maverick, musical director for Brett Young, and a voice heard across film and television.
— Signature song
The song that found a second life on screen — featured in Suits and carried into a whole new audience. It remains the heart of a catalog two decades deep in soul, blues, and song.
01About
Keaton Simons has spent more than thirty years as a working musician — a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who came up in Los Angeles and never left the craft. His first professional gig came at seventeen, playing with Slim Kid Tre of The Pharcyde; he went on to share stages and studios with Snoop Dogg, Gnarls Barkley, and Chris Cornell.
“A lived-in quality that will echo in our minds and hearts for years to come.” Los Angeles Times
Signed to Maverick as a solo artist, he built a body of work rooted in soul and blues. His songs have lived across film and television — “When I Go” in Suits, “Unstoppable” in NUMB3RS, and music in Sons of Anarchy and NCIS — and he co-scored the feature Love, Weddings & Other Disasters (2020).
Today he is the musical director and lead guitarist for Brett Young, and he runs his own label, PitchShift Records — still writing, still playing, still chasing the song.
